Neil Cheetham - Chief Actuary BSc FIA

Neil joined Hannover Life Re (UK) from a direct life assurer in 1996 and has over 20 year’s industry experience.  He is the company’s actuarial function holder.

As Chief Actuary, Neil is part of the Operational Council and has overall responsibility for the Actuarial Division.  From a new business perspective this includes all aspects of our pricing strategy, maintenance of an appropriate research program and conducting actuarial investigations to ensure that we offer the best reassurance terms to our clients.  Neil also steers the company’s valuation, planning and modelling processes, taking into account the investment strategy and capital management issues within the legislative framework, in an effective manner.

Neil also liaises regularly with the Group providing reports on embedded values, statutory reporting and Group reporting.
