Neil Cheetham - General Manager, Finance & Actuarial BSc (Hons) FIA
Neil has overall responsibility for all aspects of our financial and actuarial reporting requirements, whilst maintaining an appropriate research programme and conducting actuarial investigations to ensure we offer our clients the best possible reinsurance terms.
Neil plays a key role in HR UK’s financial management. He directs valuation, planning and modelling in line with our investment strategy and the accounting standards required by the current legislative and regulatory regime.
He also oversees the Reinsurance Accounting department maintaining the quality of client data and systems as well as development of controls and processes to meet client and regulatory requirements.
Liaising regularly with the Hannover Re Group, Neil is responsible for delivery to Group reporting targets (including embedded values and Solvency II) as well as local reporting requirements.
He also plays a key role in both the strategic planning of HR UK and the on-going maintenance and development of HR UK’s risk management strategy.
