Julie Hopkins - Head of Underwriting & Claims Strategy
With over 35 years’ experience in both reassurance and direct life assurance, Julie is responsible for the strategic development of our underwriting and claims policy and philosophy. She is also charged with embedding risk management processes around our strategy.
Julie utilises her experience as a member of numerous industry working parties, including the ABI’s Medical Underwriting Committee and Expert Working Group on HIV along with ILAG’s Protection Practitioner Group. In this capacity she plays an active role in shaping the future of our industry.
She is also a key member of our product development team. Here she leads on research into developments in underwriting, sales processes, medical research and product design – specialising in life and protection. Julie is an active member of our marketing programme helping to keep our clients informed of industry issues and keeping them at the forefront of product design.
