Joanne Wells - Head of Actuarial Pricing BSc (Hons) FIA
Joanne has worked in various actuarial roles within the industry for over 20 years, ranging from financial reporting to research and pricing. Her main responsibility is to deliver bespoke reassurance arrangements tailored to reflect each client’s individual risk management and financial requirements.
As a member of the ABI Protection Development Committee she plays an important part in shaping the future of life and protection products.
Joanne is responsible for developing our pricing strategy. This includes researching factors affecting the pricing and design of direct products and reassurance. She also ensures that we price treaties appropriately and offer the best possible reassurance terms to our clients. One aspect of this is analysing a client’s data to fully utilise the information that can be gained to feed into pricing changes.
The results of experience analyses can be invaluable in assisting clients make decisions to help them grow their business profitablity. She therefore works closely with clients to deliver flexible solutions and reassurance terms for their changing needs.
