Dental

  • A measure of dental health is having 18 or more sound and untreated teeth. Fewer men in the higher age groups meet this criterion. Improvements in dental care and dental health over the last decade have impacted mainly on younger men. Between 1988 and 1998 the proportion of men in the UK who had 18 or more sound and untreated teeth rose from 81% to 94% for men aged between 16 and 24. 43% to 68% for men aged between 25 and 34.
